Lausanne, 17 December 2025 - EHL is delighted to announce the appointment of Florian Evéquoz, Frederic Luvisutto and Thomas B. Meier to its Board of Directors, effective January 2026. They strengthen the board with deep expertise and a proven track record in education, business, and hospitality leadership. At the same time, EHL extends its sincere gratitude to its esteemed long-term board members Luciana Vaccaro and Christopher W. Norton.

Florian Evéquoz
Florian Evéquoz will assume the HES-SO representation within EHL’s Board, bringing a unique blend of academic leadership, technological expertise, and entrepreneurial vision. As Dean of the Faculty of Business, Management and Services at HES-SO, he oversees strategic development in higher education. His research in Human-Computer Interaction, Data Visualization, and Business Process Management positions him at the intersection of digital innovation, human experience and business transformation. His expertise along with his passion about fostering collaboration and knowledge transfer, makes him a valuable voice for digital strategy, political affairs and innovation in the Board of Directors.
With his arrival, the Board bids farewell to Luciana Vaccaro, rector of the HES-SO: ”On behalf of the entire board, I would like to warmly thank Luciana for her invaluable contribution for the last nine years. She has been instrumental in supporting strategic changes with a focus on academic excellence and applied research. Frederic Luvisutto
Frederic is a dynamic hospitality executive and EHL Alumnus with extensive global leadership experience. As Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, his expertise spans strategic planning, large-scale operations, and luxury service excellence. Renowned for building high-performance teams, he drives innovation and operational improvements in complex environments. Frederic combines strong analytical skills with a passion for guest experience, making him a valuable asset for governance and strategic growth. His proven ability to lead in challenging markets positions him as an influential voice on hospitality trends, operational excellence, and brand differentiation at board level.
Thomas B. Meier
Thomas is Chief Executive Officer of Jumeirah, bringing decades of global hospitality leadership. As EHL Alumnus, he has held senior roles across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Thomas combines deep expertise in business performance, acquisitions, and transformational initiatives. His strategic vision focuses on elevating service standards and advancing global brand positioning. With experience managing cross-functional teams and complex international operations, he offers strong governance insight and a proven ability to scale luxury hospitality brands worldwide. His perspective on innovation, real estate development, and global market dynamics makes him a valuable contributor to EHL’s Board of Directors.
Christopher W. Norton, EHL Alumnus and CEO of Equinox Hotels, will be stepping down from the EHL Board after completing his tenure of service for nine years. “On behalf of the entire Board, I would like to pay tribute to Christopher for bringing energy, positivity, and humanity to EHL. His resilience and generous support impressed us all. We welcome Thomas and Frederic providing additional representation for global hospitality expertise to guide EHL’s strategic priorities and further develop its position as a reference in cultivating human-centric excellence and hospitality education” said Dr. Carole Ackermann.
