Congratulations to our EHL team, winners of the Genio Innovation Summit which took place from 26 - 29 November at Hotelschool The Hague, in Amsterdam.
Final-year students; Ioana Orzea, Samuel Wich and Su-Yen Lee won the overall contest, after pitching their idea of a sustainable and innovative HR application and an ‘out of the box’ Food & Beverage concept to an international jury panel of top CEOs from the hospitality industry. The team managed best to apply the right innovations in combination with a feasible business model.
The Genio Innovation Summit, organized by Hotelschool The Hague, brings together students and leaders of the industry to develop innovative solutions and help shape the future of hospitality. This year the students had to prepare an advisory report on talent recruitment for the hotel chain, BigThree. Students were tasked with developing an innovative HR strategy, including a new recruitment platform and a five-year workforce plan, while combining high tech with high touch.
The other winners of the contest are NHL Stenden Hogeschool for best Innovation, Hong Kong Polytechnic University for best ethical approach and Hotelschool The Hague for best presentation.
