In the presence of local high dignitaries, Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) laid the first stone for its future campus, scheduled for completion at the end of June 2021. With a focus on the future and on the eve of its 125th anniversary, EHL’s expansion illustrates its desire to offer the best conditions of life, work and study to its community. This milestone is also a reflection of the strong attractiveness of its graduates, who are top of the list in terms of employability, salaries and position.
Construction of the new campus is set to be completed in 2021 and will be the result of an unprecedented international collaboration. True to the vision of EHL, the long term project will include ideas from the younger generation who contributed their ideas from schools of architecture across the world. The new EHL campus is estimated at more than CHF 200 million and was designed in accordance with the Minergie-P © standards, with the utmost respect for the surrounding nature.
“The creation of this new campus, which will accommodate 3,000 students in 2021, is part of the EHL strategy and marks an important and historic milestone since the arrival of EHL at the Chalet Gobet,” said André Witschi during the ceremony.
