Foodculture days (2nd edition) is a platform for interactions and exchange or knowledge with international reach. It hosts a yearly festival, where a large transgenerational public can discover a place where arts and food converge to focus on social issues, allowing the participants to ponder and interact. For four days, the towns of Vevey and Tour-en-Peilz are devoted to the numerous, audio-visual, gastronomical, artistical and performance facilities. These are intended to cover current topics such as nature and managing resources, cultural identity, the narratives stemming from colonization and migration, the collective memory and the politic of silence, the land and transference, or the gender question, amongst others.

Foodculture days offers interactive moments where food, vegetation and animals are there to tell us about our current ways of life and our impact on the planet. Beyond food’s nourishing, esthetic or sensory qualities, we think that its production, preparation and consumption can contribute to a collective transformation, making it one of change’s key factors.
