We are happy to announce that Dr Marc Stierand has won the Best Developmental Paper Award from the British Academy of Management’s (BAM) Research Methodology Special Interest Group (RM SIG) for ‘Intellectual quietness: our struggles with researching creativity as a process.’

The paper was written jointly with Dr Viktor Dörfler (University of Strathclyde, UK) and Professor Robert Chia (University of Glasgow, UK), both Associates at EHL’s new Institute of Business Creativity (IBC), and explores the methodological value of attaining ‘intellectual quietness,’ a notion inspired by the thinking of process philosophers who have grappled with this intractable problem of fidelity in observation.
